MARTINSVILLE-At least 13 local non-profits will be receiving free office furniture thanks to a contest from The Harvest Foundation.

On Thursday, The Harvest Foundation randomly selected 13 local non-profit organizations, each of which will receive one of 13 lots of furniture from Harvest’s current office at 1 Ellsworth Street.

As previously reported in the Martinsville Bulletin, on July 5, The Harvest Foundation will move to its new home in the first floor of the former SunTrust Bank building on the corner of East Church Street and Ellsworth Street.

Since Harvest will be obtaining new office furniture for the new building, the foundation decided to give away its current furniture to area non-profits.
