For the past few months, Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) director of facilities Patrick Francisco and his crew have been hard at work preparing a new driving range near the entrance to the facility.
On Thursday morning, as ten honorary starters hit the first tee shots at the facility, Francisco breathed a sigh of relief as the newest addition to the ever-expanding complex was opened for business.
The driving range will be open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk with an automated machine supplying buckets of balls for five dollars per bucket.
