Martinsville Bulletin: PHCC set to begin logistics tech program

June 24, 2016

Patrick Henry Community College is enrolling students in its new Logistics Technician program.

This short-term program can be completed within two semesters and is designed to propel students into leadership positions at Radial (formerly known as eBay), one of Martinsville’s largest employers and one of the largest logistics and distribution companies this side of the Mississippi.

“We have worked with local organizations that need logistics technicians and supervisors,” said PHCC’s Workforce Programs Coordinator Brenell Thomas. “By building our curriculum hand-in-hand with these partners we can guarantee that students are employable.”

Radial offers guaranteed job interviews and paid internships to PHCC’s Logistics Technician students. The company has been part of Martinsville for more than 16 years. Radial is rapidly growing and ships more than 35 million units for companies worldwide. As it expands, the company is looking to fill positions with program graduates.
