BASSETT –How can a high school use a library in the 21st century? Is it still needed? Bassett High wanted to answer those questions when designing its new library, which opened its doors at 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
When the idea of the high school’s Bengal Tech Academy came to fruition, it totally transformed the former library into a collaborative space filled with classrooms and a longue area.
With thousands of books displaced, the school sought a workable area for a revamped library.
