The County of Henry established the Department of Public Safety in July 1985. The Department serves as a liaison to local volunteer response agencies, handles emergency management activities and coordinates planning activities for the local Emergency Operations Plan. The Department also conducts fire inspections and investigations, fire safety education and firefighter training coordination.
