Letter from the Board President

Dear Fellow Residents,

I am truly honored to continue to serve The Harvest Foundation as the President of the Board in 2010.

As a lifelong resident of Martinsville/Henry County, I've watched our community grow and change through the years. I've grown up here, made a life with my wife Debbie, and raised our three sons. This is also where, for over 27 years, I have made my career with Hooker Furniture.

In 2010, The Harvest Foundation will continue to make progress in the transformation of our area. Without question, we are committed to the revitalization of Uptown Martinsville. We're equally committed to attracting new businesses, visitors and residents while working to improve the health, educational opportunities and quality of life for those already here.

Because of the work of every Foundation Board member and staff person, our community is closer to a better, brighter future. This steady transformation is because of their energy, passion, and strong sense of duty to continue transforming our community.

Even in a difficult economic climate, the opportunities to make significant change are unlimited. Let’s continue to work together to transform this community.

Sincerely,

Paul B. Toms, Jr.

President of the Board of Directors
