Project Overview
Harvest is a private foundation focused on place-based investments (grantmaking) in the rural
communities of Martinsville City and Henry County, Virginia to address local challenges in health,
education, and community vitality. Harvest is at a crossroad, with a new President and embarking on
a strategic planning process to ensure our focus/work is inclusive and reflects the most pressing
needs of the community. The strategic planning process should focus on existing capacity of the
organization as well as opportunities for growth.

The current strategic plan was created in 2015 with a focus on building and maintaining economic
prosperity for the entire community. The organization is looking for a consultant to work with
Harvest to create a three to five-year strategic plan through a comprehensive, data-driven, and
participatory process.
