Martinsville Bulletin:
Leena Khammash was selected out of several applications for a scholarship to attend the eight-week course, "Clinical Gross Anatomy," offered in Martinsville by the Integrative Centers for Science and Medicine.
Khammash is a recent graduate of Libyan International Medical University in Benghazi and will return to her university to teach anatomy.
The ICSM course, held June 6 to Aug. 1st, is a 320 hour full dissection human anatomy course delivered through a cooper active arrangement with Patrick Henry Community College.
A Harvest Foundation "Pick Up the Pace!" grant assisted in laboratory development.
The course will conclude Thursday with an appreciation and certificate award ceremony from 3 to 4 p.m. in the West Piedmont Business Development Center.
