Bassett Family Practice integrates behavioral health

January 26, 2016

Bassett Family Practice is proud to announce that Cynthia Eberhardt, LCSW, has joined their team of health care providers.

“Integrating Behavioral Health into primary care at Bassett Family Practice is important because our patients are familiar with our health care provider’s office and it improves their access to Behavioral Health needs. Physical and mental health are very reliant upon each other and with this collaboration, we can tackle both needs in one place,” said Mandy Brannock, Director of Operations at Bassett Family Practice.

Cynthia Eberhardt, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), is a trained and licensed mental health therapist, who joined Bassett Family Practice in October of 2015. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), in 1995 from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She has over 20 years of experience as a clinical therapist helping children, teens, and adults cope with behavioral, mental and emotional problems that interfere with their daily lives. Eberhardt moved to the Martinsville/Henry County area in 2007, from Maryland, where she has lived most of her life. She and her husband have two daughters and three dogs.

“I will collaborate with the primary care providers to help patients achieve their optimum wellness, not only for their physical health, but for their mental and emotional health as well. I am looking forward to providing Behavioral Health services, including therapy and consultation, to the patients at Bassett Family Practice,” said Eberhardt.
