United Way is a national network of nearly 1300 local organizations that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life. Local United Ways create long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Common focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people's health. The goal of all United Ways is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems.
Nonprofit Leaders Network
The United Way’s Nonprofit Leaders Network was designed to strengthen the organizational effectiveness of our local nonprofit agencies. The benefits for nonprofits that are a member of this network range from low-cost consulting services to board training to technology services. Membership is available to nonprofit organizations, schools, business owners, and even individuals who provide volunteer services for our community.
